Colonial Williamsburg is a flurry of activity in the summer but we want to highlight two events that sound awesome to us, particularly if you’re coming to our wonderful city with your family.
“DIG kids, dirt & discovery” — Your child can play the role of archaeologist alongside some of Colonial Williamsburg’s experts as they excavate the cellar of Archibald Blair’s 18th century store on Duke of Gloucester Street. This activity is open to ages 5-16 and children must become accompanied by parents.
“Escape the king” — The Colonial Williamsburg version of the escape room craze. If you’re up for a family challenge – try this out! You’ll be locked in a room the others in your party and you’ll need to work together to solve riddles and clues to escape the King before the British officer returns for interrogation!
Of course, if you’re visiting Colonial Williamsburg this summer with your kids, staying at The Cedars of Williamsburg B&B is a great choice. We’re the #2 ranked Bed and Breakfast in Williamsburg and we’re just an 8-minute walk to Colonial Williamsburg which means you won’t have to worry about finding a parking place in the Colonial City. Plus, our rooms are perfect for families who are traveling together. Check out our post about how we’re Williamsburg’s Best B&B For Families here. Finally, if you stay with us, we’ll provide you with other great tips for making the most of your summer while you’re in Williamsburg!
