Wintering

If you’ve been following us on Instagram you’ve seen that we’re enjoying the season in Williamsburg. We’ve been picking up fun decorations at the Christmas Mouse and Seasons of Williamsburg, enjoying all the Colonial Williamsburg has to offer – ice skating and pretty wreaths and fireworks – and of course drinking hot chocolate (out of our brand new mugs!) and eating our fill of cookies.

We also had the privilege of hosting our first winter wedding this last weekend. The groom was Australian (and his family literally fawned over our deer!) so they brought in a snow machine because he’s never seen it. They started their ceremony at 5:15 and though it was quite chilly it was an absolutely beautiful setting. In addition to the outdoor wedding, they also hosted a small reception inside which was a first for us. They did all the decorating but we loved seeing our property transformed for the season.
